Below are the general rules of this board. Please read through before posting.
.) TOP OF THE LIST!!! No bashing of any costuming clubs. We are all aware of the pros and cons of different groups and the ins and outs of the costuming clubs that are out there, which is why we started the 903rd Legion and the 9th Fleet. We've heard it all before and many members of those clubs are members here too...so please be respectful.
.) No Cursing, porn, nudity, etc! Pretty much self explanatory. This is intended to be a PG rated forum. Most costumers who join will be over 18, but you just never know when a younger brother/sister/son/daughter may be looking. This also includes any costume that is suggestive in nature. There are some EU costumes that are close and "toe the line," so please use a little common sense when making your character.
.) No bashing of a member's choice of base for costumes or weapons! The 903rd Legion will not tolerate a bashing of a members choice of what they use for their costumes. We do, however, encourage constructive criticism on how the part(s) may be improved, and the member is encouraged to, at the very least, consider what is suggested. We are, after all, a conglomeration of multiple costumers with years of experience.
.) Introduce yourself! When you sign on, please take a moment to stop by the Shinies area and tell us a little about yourself.
.) No Spamming! Spam posts will be deleted and member will be warned.
.) No Flaming! We don't need arguments started for the sake of starting them or someone's post count. If you've already expressed your advice once and the other member doesn't want to follow it, it's their choice.
.) Stay on topic! Slight deviation will be allowed, but don't make it a habit.
.) Don't have fun at other's expense! People don't generally like being made fun of in front of others...
.) Please keep posts and replies readable! aka no "YELLING", "1337 sp33|<", and no "txt spk". Proper spelling and grammar is appreciated. Almost every current browser has spelling/grammar mods that you can install that help you with this so there should be no excuses.
). Please be respectful of those who do not know the specifics of any costume you have. Be willing to answer questions, especially about custom costumes, should they be asked. Also, be prepared to take advice if you want to give it. Most of the costumes on this board will be canon approved by the 501st, the RL, or the Jedi Council. But if you have a custom, or see a custom, whether it’s a Merc or any EU character, be ready for whatever questions there may be.
). LEAVE THE DRAMA AT HOME! We're here to HAVE FUN with costuming. Keep the drama at home and everything runs smoothly.
). This is primarily a costuming forum, but it can also be a haven for it’s members. We are here to serve your needs in the CosPlay universe, but not to solve your social or political woes. If you're just here to preach from our soapbox, take it to a MySpace blog.
). No "sock puppet" accounts. Sock puppet accounts are created by those whose only goal is to gather information through spying on members and reporting to their superiors on other forums. If the Senate discovers the usage of a sock puppet account, the user is subject to complete banning.
). If a member feels that they are being harassed via PM or public posting, both parties will be warned to discontinue behavior. If it is brought to the Senate's attention again that the behavior is continuing, the issue will be investigated and actions will be taken against the party that continues to harass or argue with the other.
15) SPECIAL NOTE: The 903rd Legion, its officers, staff, or members assume no responsibilities for injuries or worse sustained while fabricating a costume for our or any other group. The individual producing said costumes is solely responsible for any and all results, positive and negative, arising from any WIP.
The 903rd Legion Senate reserves the right to change/modify/remove/add any of these rules at any time. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning to the member. Continued failure to follow these rules could result in a temporary post ban for 24 hours. Beyond that, punishment is at the Senate's discretion.
